Biography

John McCool joined the Lattice Semiconductor Board in October 2026. Mr. McCool brings more than four decades of experience in semiconductors, networking, and systems engineering, with extensive experience leading hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations. He is currently Senior Vice President and Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer at Arista Networks, Inc., a role he has held since April 2025. From 2017 to 2025, he served as Arista’s Senior Vice President and Chief Platform Officer, where he was responsible for hardware engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain. Prior to Arista, Mr. McCool served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of DSSD, Dell EMC’s rack-scale flash storage business, and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Firetide. He previously held senior vice president and general manager roles at Cisco Systems, including leading its data center switching business, and earlier held engineering leadership roles at SynOptics, NeXT Computer, and AMD. Mr. McCool holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.
